How You'll Perform the Role

  • The Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership to hourly team members at the Caldwell Plant on a rotating shift basis.
  • Key areas of focus include safety, crew development, productivity, quality, reliability, cost control, and team engagement.
  • The operations consist of the following manufacturing areas: Laminating, Slitting, Converting, Shipping and Maintenance.
  • The Shift Supervisor is a critical leadership position in the organization.
  • The position has direct responsibility for approximately 20 employees per shift in a union environment in multiple manufacturing areas on a rotating shift basis.
  • Success relies on the supervisor 's ability to understand and improve current processes, build relationships, and fully engage all crew members in business improvement.

What We Need From You

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in an operations management, engineering, industrial technology, or equivalent successful manufacturing management experience required.
  • Proven leadership skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Previous manufacturing leadership experience required.
  • Experience in Laminating/Converting operations processes strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
  • Lean/Continuous Improvement and Quality Management Systems experience required.
  • Experience in reading and understanding product specifications
