JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $20.00 per hour

Shift: Day Shift, Monday through Friday

Benefits Start on Day One

Shoe Voucher/Reimbursement AFTER 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain safety, quality and production, plan schedule and assign workload. Coordinate job schedule with Production Control Lead to be in line with customer needs
  • Responsible for assembly of all job packages, as they are received from drafting, into departmental sub-sections, batches and groups various components for production
  • Responsible for processing parts and shortage orders
  • Communicate with other Team Leaders to coordinate activities of individual departments to meet a common goal
  • Ability to run several jobs concurrently
  • Ability to key information into computer to obtain computerized records
  • Must expedite work in process to meet production schedules
  • Ability to copy, distribute, and file orders as required
  • Ability to keep numerical and alphabetical sequences correctly
  • Maintains continuous improvement efforts in work area
  • Special projects or additional duties as designated by Plant Manager
  • Processing orders from multiple divisions of the company
  • Tracks material inventory in conjunction with job requests to verify in-stock
  • Verify blueprints are correct with production orders
  • Communicate with outside sales about order issues
  • Input special punches into the system and match them with the blueprints
  • Reroute parts to flow through the correct work centers
  • Change special routing to accommodate special parts entered in the system
  • Communicate with the Inventory Department about discrepancies found in our MRP Report
  • Transfer Review orders on our workbench throughout each day
Qualifications

Education/Experience/Knowledge:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Some knowledge of manufacturing environment
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Microsoft Office Experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary
  • Above average math skills

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to create and maintain Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets and Microsoft Word Documents
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with a diversified work force

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
  • The employee is frequently required to walk
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; sit; bend; stoop; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; lift; climb and/or balance essential tasks
  • Specific vision abilities include close-up and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception

Work Environment:

  • The employee may be required to enter areas that are near moving mechanical parts, with occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, and extreme cold or heat
  • The noise level in the work environment is considered moderate and may require the use of hearing protection
  • The employee will be required to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when accessing certain manufacturing areas, (hard hat, gloves, welding jacket or weld bibs, safety glasses, welding hood and earplugs)

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Before initiating work at Cornerstone Building Brands, the employee is required to read and understand the position's Job Safety Analysis
  • The employee must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and perform tasks in a manner consistent with Cornerstone Building Brands safety training, Cornerstone Employee Manual and OSHA regulations
